Audio Hall Echo Filter

I filmed a video with three onboard unmanned video cameras (no touching or handling sounds) in a small Chapel with old wood floors. The sound is hollow with a lot of reverberation and of course when people are walking on the floor sounds like an eerie horror movie. Although I'm not sure that the foot clanks can be removed, I'd be surprised if one of the experienced editors here hasn't solved this problem. If necessary, I could export a sample and upload it but I'm sure y'all get the idea. Even though I'm a professional, this was my last sons wedding and I didn't hire someone to do the work. I know it was stupid, but nonetheless, here I am and trying to fix it up and new to FCPX.

Any help in this would be extremely helpful. :-)

you're looking for the counterpart of reverb, aka de-verb.

… which, btmk, was invented just a few years ago (by some German engineer …), you'd find many older posts of mine on this board where I tell people "absolutely impossible!!" .... 😉

aside 'The Beast' RX5, Rush is suggesting, there's a plugin avail,

https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/spl_de-verb.html

which is demoed here:

… for me: plain magic! How can some algorithm know, this is signal, this is noise???

same here, free trial, 60$ for that awesomeness of engineering is a steal ....

No trivia task - test it!

I will definitely check that out. Sounds like the ticket and will let ya know. Except will have to look into what Russ H wrote about FCPX 10.11. If that's the latest, that's the one I have. I most always try to keep my software current to get the most out of bug fixes and the latest performance enhancements.

edit: just noticed that 10.11 is not yet supported.

ooops haven't seen that! Good to know.

AU-plugins in general seem to have issues with the latest, several OS and FCPX updates ...

I was just 'blinded' by the demo ....

By 10.11 y'all mean OS X right? I have OS X 10.11.2. and FCPX 10.2.2. which means that this plug-in won't work right?
